GENERAL RULES
ETIQUETTE
After a throw, a player may retrieve their darts from the board ONLY after they have registered their score on the chalkboard. This is to ensure your opponent has the opportunity to verify your score and avoid any dispute.
Misbehaviour of any kind, cheating or deliberately losing games will not be acceptable and could lead to disqualification without a refund. Disputes can occur in competitive sports but it needs to be handled in a professional and pleasant manner. Please address your dispute to the moderator if the players are unable to settle the dispute amicably.
DROP OUTS
If a player drops out before completing 9 games, all match points and AS scored by both players for the matches played will be deleted. No cash money will be paid at end of season unless there is a valid reason for drop out.
If they drop out after playing 9 or more games, points will hold. No cash money will be paid at end of season unless there is a valid reason for drop out. Players who have not played against this player will be awarded points based on winning/losing % whichever is beneficial to the non defaulting player.
If a player of similar caliber is available to replace the player, then all points for the matches played will hold and the new player will continue to play the remaining matches as per schedule. Players in the league will vote for this motion to pass.
If the player who is dropping out has played some of their scheduled 15 games against a player, this will be taken into account when awarding results of this partially played match.
The above rule will also apply to those player who are unable to complete their make up matches before end of season due to unavoidable circumstances. They will receive cash payout only for games played but will not receive any points/cash for the missed matches. Messages in the SSDL WhatsApp group will determine the defaulter. The points to be awarded will be calculated at end of season and prior to the last match of the season.
MAKE UP GAMES
Make up games can be played at a mutually agreeable location but preferably at Legion #609.
An easy way to complete make up games is to play 5 extra games whenever possible before or after you play your scheduled match for the week. Do not register the score of uncompleted matches in the Whatsapp group, instead, keep track between the two of you.
MATCH SCHEDULE
The last scheduled match of the season CANNOT be played until all pending matches are completed.
Players will communicate with each other in the group chat to schedule thier matches at a mutually agreeable time.
It is imperative that request to reschedule a game against your opponent is properly communicated with sufficient notice. A player will lose 3 game points if they do not show up for a scheduled game without sufficient notice.
The onus is on the player who could not play their scheduled match to arrange a make up with their opponent for that match.
AS POINTS / TIED POINTS
All star points are for bragging rights only.
If two or more players are tied on points at the end of the season, the AS will be added to determine the winner.
If it is a tie, the Roll Back rule will apply.
50/50
To support the Legion, a 50/50 draw will be held with 50% going to the winner, if possible some as SSDL fund and balance to the Legion. If any money is accumulated for SSDL, it will be distributed to the players at the end of season during payout or used for a Playoff by dividing the legion players into an A and B division.
