RULES OF PLAY – RCL 139 – SDL
Both captains will draw their team on one score sheet at 7.20 and games will commence at 7.30 pm.
In singles, top ranked players (based on stats) must be drawn higher up in the order.
Chalking will be shared by both teams. Order of play will be as follows:-
DOUBLES
CRICKET 1 game, best of 3 legs
CHICAGO 1 game best of 3 legs, Chicago (1 leg Cricket, 1 leg 501 & 1 leg 401 Di/Do)
501 1 game, best of 3 legs
SINGLES
CHICAGO 2 games, each game, best of 3 legs (1 leg Cricket, 1 leg 501 SIDO & 1 leg 401 DIDO)
CRICKET 1 Leg only
A player from each team assigned to play a match will go for the bull. The winner of the bull will start the first leg, the loser of the
bull will start the second. Third leg will be played only if the match is tied and a bull throw will decide who starts the leg.
In Cricket, when a game ends with all of the numbers and bullseye closed with a tie score, the team that closed all the numbers and
bulleye first is the winner.
20 cash prizes and/or trophies will be awarded - all members of the winning team, 2nd & 3rd, the 3 top league players - women & men, highest score 140 and over - women & men, highest finish 80 and over - women & men, most improved player.
Spares will be given an opportunity to play if a team is shorthanded - $3 per week.
Team points:- 1 point will be awarded for every match won ( not for legs )
Individual points: - 2 points for each doubles win and 3 points for each singles win.
SHORT HANDED TEAMS: - Recycled players/spares will not receive game winning or all-star points.
If a team is shorthanded and spares are not available, players from the team may be recycled.
If a team has only 1 player (short 2 players):-
For the Doubles - The available player will forfeit the first two doubles and play the third 501 doubles
with a dummy (25 points).
For the Singles - The available player will play the first 2 matches and forfeit the third.
If a team has only 2 players (short 1 player):-
For the Doubles - The two players will pair up and play the first two doubles matches. One of the two players will be recycled
to play the third doubles 501 with a dummy(25 points)
For the Singles - Both players will play thier respective singles, the first two matches. The player that was not recyled in the
doubles will play the last singles match.
If a player is running late, they must inform the captain before the draw at 7.30 and must arrive by 8 pm.
Score sheet must be handed over to the League organizer or faxed by noon the next day.
In Cricket, only darts that count in the game will be taken into account for individual all star points.
Chalkers should be stationery, facing the board when chalking and should not move to check score in between throws unless prompted by player.
Any discrepancy in the stats must be highlighted by the next week. Thereafter it may not be entertained.
At the end of the season, if teams are tied for the winner and runner up position they will play one match on one board, 1 leg of Doubles 1001 to determine the winner.
If players are tied for the three individual positions, they will play one leg of 701 to decide the winner.
If player are tied for the highest score and highest finish, they will each throw 12 darts and whoever has the highest score will be the winner.
If more than 1 player has a 180, the player with the maximum 180's will be the winner.
